Effective October, 2018

NOTE: All wines are made from 100 percent B.C. grapes from Okanagan vineyards.

We have sold out of most wines for the year but still have Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Whatever available for table wines and the port-like Overboard and White Overboard. If you’d like to visit, we’re here most of the time making next year’s wine but not open regular hours. Please call first to avoid disappointment. 250-546-2164

Red Wine

2017 Marechal Foch

All gone.

The 2017 is rich and fruity with that lovely soft Foch palate.

Marechal Foch

Marechal Foch

Made from grapes grown in four vineyards, each with distinct growing conditions and vine age, this wine is greater than the sum of its parts. Soft and silky with multiple layers of flavour,  it is ruby red in colour and has the aroma of spiced cherries. The palate shows more cherry notes, along with the hint of Foch smokiness and bright acidity.

Smooth Foch

Sorry, none left.

For those who like a softer, fruitier red this variation of Foch is a big hit.

The touch of extra residual sugar brings out the fruit and add heft to the palate. Bottled and drinking beautifully

Cabernet Sauvignon

A limited supply but a real steal for those lucky enough to get some. Call first.  250-546-2164.

Big, rich and delicious with a long finish

From Red Brick Vineyard on the world famous east bench of Osoyoos, this is a full extracted cab that will continue to grow for years to come. 2016 was a great year for the big reds in the South Okanagan and the long hot days of summer coupled with the cool nights of early fall brought this cab into perfect balance. This wine was bottled in the spring and is already smooth and sumptuous, bursting with cassis and blackberry and can be enjoyed immediately with rich meat dishes, extra old cheddar or an inch-thick T-bone. Or age for up to six years to develop that classic Cab depth and richness.

Malbec

Still have a reasonable supply. Call first before you come. 250-546-2164.

2017 drinking beautifully. The signature grape of Argentina has a bright future in the Okanagan. It seems to be particularly well suited to the South Okanagan and delivers a delightfully balanced mouthful of plummy elegance. We liked it right out of the tank and now that has settled in the bottle it’s getting better every day.

White Wine

2017 Argus

Nope

Crisp and delicious as always. No bear problems last fall so there’s a little more than last year. It will still likely sell out by early summer.

Argus

Argus

Our own eclectic mix of five varieties of grapes, but is more than 85 percent an unknown varietal we named Argus, this wine is a fresh, crisp white that tastes like biting into a Granny Smith apple. Always in short supply and always in high demand, Argus never lasts long but if you’re lucky enough to get some it will be perfect sipping wine on the deck or at the lake. Serve as cold as your fridge will go and have some creamy Havarti and a fruit plate nearby.

 2017 Ortega

Ortega

Ortega

Gone

Ortega is such a reliable performer and makes consistently good wine when grown in the northern area. This year was no exception.

From grapes grown in our own vineyard and from Salmon Arm, this gorgeous white has subtle floral notes, lychee and tropical fruits resembling Gewurztraminer but is lighter, fresher and drier. It’s everything you like about aromatic wines in a crisper, cleaner and fresher package. Stands up to spicy, rich Asian dishes and is our favourite wine with turkey, but is just as nice on movie night or poolside. Serve really cold.

Red Overboard

Marechal Foch

Marechal Foch

Plenty. Call first, 250-546-2164

International trade laws prevent us from calling this what it tastes like but you might find something similar in Porto, Portugal. This is our beautiful Marechal Foch, coddled and cajoled through the long cold winter to keep slowly fermenting until the alcohol level gets above 16 percent. With the addition of medium toast French oak and enough residual sweetness to balance, the result is a rich, potent after-dinner drink that will make you revisit your relationship with chocolate. Wonderful with a campfire and toasted marshmallows, too!

A blend of Viognier, Ortega and Argus that is made the same way as the red type but with a completely different result. Sweet and rich, it hangs onto enough acidity to be refreshing and crisp, too. Lovely after-dinner sipper.
